Wednesday was so great! Mike and I spent part of it Star Bucks hunting. Mike had heard a rumor that there was a Star Bucks somewhere near our base. When he told me this, I was so excited that I can't exactly remember what I did next. I think I spoke or possibly ate a TV dinner. It's all still a little blurry. Anyway, so Wednesday afternoon we drove to the "landmark" (A HUGE Coke-A-Cola ferris wheel. It's scary sometimes how big Coke is here. Coke is like almost as big as Miss Kitty, but let's not even start that topic at this moment. My fingers don't have that much strength). We parked any walked around. After walking for a half hour without any luck, Mike decided that I should just wander (Something that just comes naturally to me. What can I say? It's a gift ;), so I walked to a crosswalk and suddenly Mike said, "Kate! It's a sign!" I was like, "What are you talking about?" and He pointed across the stress to a Star Bucks sign =) So we went inside, and I used my incredibly suave and cool lingual talents to point at a picture menu that they had on the counter. I ordered a coffee frappuchino, and it tasted wonderful =) It wasn't any different from any of the dozens of others I've had, and it was absolutely perfect. A little piece of familiarity, and I loved it (Thank you baby. It was exactly the pick-me-up I needed =)

So it's been a while since I last posted. I just haven't really had anything to post about. I've been trying to get photobucket to behave so that I can be allowed to share my embarressment from the other night with the world, but it's being stupid. My pictures show up as either huge or really, really tiny when I try to resize them.

The other night, I jokingly picked up Mike's camo FLAK vest and put it on, exclaiming how heavy it was and how happy I was that I didn't have to wear it. Mike took this as a challenge and proceeded to dress me in his full Chemical gear. Rubber boots, helmet, pants, shirt, gas mask and all of the other hundreds of piece that go with it. By the time he got the gas mask on me, I was ready to faint. I have new and deep respect for people who have to wear all of this when it's over 100 degrees outside. It's very umcomfortable, hot, heavy, and it smells funky. Anyway, so the pictures are really funny, but I still can't figure it out. Maybe later with Mike's help (he is so much more computer savvy than I =) I'll be able to get them posted later =)

I think tonight Mike and I are going to see Bewitched. I really want to see it and surprisingly Mike does too. I think it's because of Will Ferrell. I'll watching just about anything if Will Ferrell is in it. I think he is hilarious. There's just something about his delivery.

I love Mike. It never fails to amaze me how on the days where my hair needs washing, I'm still in my pj's from last night, and my face is broken out from a bad case of pms, he'll turn and look at me and tell me that I'm the most beautful, wonderful, sexy woman he's even seen. Thank you Mike. I'm the luckiest girl around =)

You always seem to tell me what I need to hear, right when I need to hear it. Thank you. I love you so much, and I hope you had a very happy birthday =)

Everybody now. On the count of 3. 1...2...3 Happy Birthday Mike!!

Almost every morning, Mike leaves a little note typed up on the computer. I love them =) When I wake up, the first thing I do it turn on the moniter and see if he's left me a note. I keep the note of the day open all day, so that I can randomly look at when I feel lonely. They help me make it until 6:30pm =)

This morning, I missed saying goodbye to him. I usually wake up while he's up and about getting his day going. I guess I was just really tired because I didn't wake up till after he was gone =( *sighs*

Nothing out of the ordinary

Kate The Great says: I do really miss my kitties
Kate The Great says: It's weird not having anything demand my attention, food, bite my ankles...
Kate The Great says: Ow!
Annie says: Yeah, I understand. Freedom is nice, though. Ryan & I enjoyed that up in Houghton. We could take off for a few days and
Annie says: Wait, what happened?
Kate The Great says: Mike just bit my ankle...
Kate The Great says: In an attempt to make me feel more at home

Today, I have turned into a slug. Even typing is laborious. I managed to finish the laundry and wash my hair, but then I turned on the tv and started to knit, and there went the rest of my day ;) I was planning to take a hike down to the local bx (It's like a small Walmart), but I've completely zoned out today. Oh well, gives me something to do tomorrow =p

In other news, I'm happy to be here finially =) People keep asking if it's awful to be in a room all by myself for a good portion of the day, but the truth is I'm kinda enjoying it. I've been running in circles this month. First, Mike came back right at the beginning, then the wedding, then packing and running around seeing everyone who wanted to spend time with me before I left, and then spending 24 hours traveling...the whole month ran me kinda ragged, so I'm rather open to being here in the quiet for a while =) I'm enjoying the down time, and my stress level is slowly receeding.

I'm so happy to be here with Mike =) I've missed him so much.

Anyway, so that's the lastest from Okinawa. I'll attempt writing a better post with more actual content in the near future =)

So, it's been a really long time since I last posted. It's just that before the wedding, I didn't have access to a computer, and afterwards I didn't want to write about the whole wedding because A. I don't have enough mental energy to compose a post of that size, and B. Everyone who reads my lj was there =p So, I won't try to write that post.

Packing is hard. Really hard. My room has always looked relatively empty and free of frills & collectables. Apparently though, my closet has had enough crap in it for 2 rooms. It just keeps coming!

I miss Mike =( Sleeping without him has been terrible. I didn't know I would get used to sleep snuggled up to him that fast. For the first few nights, I fell out of bed a couple of times when I started scooting backwards trying to snuggle up to him. Now, I just wake up running my hands all over the mattress trying to find him. It's miserable and rather pathetic *sighs*

Kate says: Maybe someday, when I'm like 77 years old and senile, I'll get myself a real soap box, go to a big city, and stand on a street corner and yell random things at people in my little, old voice.

Mike says: =p

Kate says: "The end is near!" "God saves!" "Get a better hat you young whipper snapper!"

Mike says: i hope not, it may be hard to stay married to you at that point =p

Kate says: lol

Kate says: After like 60 years of marriage?

Kate says: Nah, you could get a soap box and yell with me =p

Mike says: =p

Kate says: When you're really old you're allowed to be crazy

Mike says: lol

Today, the honeymoon reservations came in the mail, and *dramatic music* it said Mike AND Kate Watrous! It may seem silly, but this made me happier than words can express =D

They sent this whole pamphlet* about the bed & breakfast. It looks so beautiful =)
