Home

I am a big fan of helping animals. I even think it's a good idea for people to put those silly little sweaters on dogs without enough hair. Our dog wears one on occasion because it can get to -45 in the winter, and the sweater keeps her heart warm. But some how I think that this is just going too far.

At about 5pm it started raining. Quick rain showers are very common here. They only last about 5-8 minutes, and they usually only consist of sprinkles. This rain, was completely different. It started out by coming down pretty hard, and after 10 minutes it was still going. I was so psyched! I put on my sandal, shut the door, ran down stairs and out into the rain. After standing there for a few minutes, I decided that I probably looked a little strange just standing there in the rain, so I started walking (because walking in the rain is FAR less nutcase-ish than standing in it ;) I walked all the way down to the light at the end of the street (a couple hundred yards), crossed the street and started heading back on the other side of the road, and that's when the rain really started to pour. I loved every minute of the rain! It was so cool and refreshing =)

One crab to rule them all

To see pictures of me and lots of fishies go here

We went to the Ocean Expo. Park on Saturday and saw lots of fishies, turtles, dolphins, and a freakin' huge crab! I've been referring to it as "The one crab to rule them all". The body of this thing was at big as my head, and it's leg were as long as Mike's arms. It could devor small children! Or at least hampsters...

Nothing out of the ordinary

Kate The Great says: I do really miss my kitties
Kate The Great says: It's weird not having anything demand my attention, food, bite my ankles...
Kate The Great says: Ow!
Annie says: Yeah, I understand. Freedom is nice, though. Ryan & I enjoyed that up in Houghton. We could take off for a few days and
Annie says: Wait, what happened?
Kate The Great says: Mike just bit my ankle...
Kate The Great says: In an attempt to make me feel more at home

Today, I have turned into a slug. Even typing is laborious. I managed to finish the laundry and wash my hair, but then I turned on the tv and started to knit, and there went the rest of my day ;) I was planning to take a hike down to the local bx (It's like a small Walmart), but I've completely zoned out today. Oh well, gives me something to do tomorrow =p

In other news, I'm happy to be here finially =) People keep asking if it's awful to be in a room all by myself for a good portion of the day, but the truth is I'm kinda enjoying it. I've been running in circles this month. First, Mike came back right at the beginning, then the wedding, then packing and running around seeing everyone who wanted to spend time with me before I left, and then spending 24 hours traveling...the whole month ran me kinda ragged, so I'm rather open to being here in the quiet for a while =) I'm enjoying the down time, and my stress level is slowly receeding.

I'm so happy to be here with Mike =) I've missed him so much.

Anyway, so that's the lastest from Okinawa. I'll attempt writing a better post with more actual content in the near future =)
